My goal for this website is simple:  Give back to the coaching profession.

For a long time after I retired, I was asked ‘do you miss it?’  My answer was always:  “I miss the good parts.”  Those good parts were the relationships built with hundreds of kids and coaches.  I missed having the opportunity to watch a kid grow up and maybe have some sort of meaningful impact on that process.  I even missed being called ‘Coach’……I loved coaching and the coaching profession.  The teaching/coaching profession is as noble a profession as there is.  So, I thought that maybe by sharing some of my thoughts and experiences from the past 29 years, that I could give back to the profession.

In no way is this intended to be a ‘How To’ type of website….I certainly don’t pretend to know enough to do that!  My objective is jut to provide a place that coaches (of all sports), parents, and athletes can come to and read some thoughts, ideas, and experiences from ‘behind the scenes’ so to speak.  Hopefully some of those thoughts and experiences will cause you to think about what you do as a coach, how you approach things as a parent of an athlete, or how you look at things as an athlete.

If even a small portion of what I share on here resonates with someone and gives them some help in their career, then I’ve accomplished my goal.
